Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification:
- 10th standard pass certificate with Mathematics and English from a recognized board.
- Must have studied the local language of their state up to the 10th standard. The Table listed above shows the Local Language of each state.
- Other Requirements:
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Ability to ride a bicycle.
- Adequate means of livelihood.

- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 40 years

- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- PwD: 10 years
- PwD + OBC: 13 years

Job Roles and Responsibilities
1. Branch Postmaster (BPM)
- Oversee postal operations and India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) services.
- Promote and market postal products and services.
- Ensure the smooth and timely functioning of branch offices.
- Must provide accommodation for the branch post office before engagement.
2. Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM)
- Sell stamps, handle mail delivery, and assist BPM in operations.
- Conduct transactions for IPPB and promote departmental services.
- May need to perform BPM duties when required.
- Must reside within the jurisdiction of the post office that is assigned.
3. Dak Sevak
- Assist in mail delivery, handling transactions, and performing sorting tasks in railway mail services.
- Support postmasters in departmental office operations.
- Engage in marketing and business procurement activities.
- Must reside within the jurisdiction of the post office that is assigned.
