The National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT), Delhi, has announced a recruitment drive for 78 Scientific Assistant positions. Candidates with B.Tech, B.E, or M.Sc qualifications in relevant fields can apply online from February 17, 2025, to March 18, 2025. This recruitment is conducted on behalf of the Standardization Testing & Quality Certification Directorate (STQC), an attached office under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY).

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:
Candidates must have a B.E. / B.Tech / M.Sc. degree in one or a combination of the following fields:

Electronics
Electronics & Communication
Electronics & Telecommunications
Computer Science
Computer & Networking Security
Software Systems
Information Technology
Electrical
Informatics

Age Limit:

Maximum Age: 30 years
Age relaxation:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC (NCL): 3 years
- 10 years for PWD candidates (15 years for SC/ST and 13 years for OBC)

Selection Process

The selection is based solely on a Written Test, which will be objective type and OMR-based. The exam will have 120 questions divided as follows:

Technical Section: 65% of the questions
General Section: 35% of the questions

The General Section will test logical reasoning, analytical abilities, quantitative aptitude, qualitative abilities, and general awareness. The exam will last 3 hours, with a negative marking of 0.25 marks per incorrect answer.

Qualifying Marks:

General/EWS: 50%
OBC: 40%
SC/ST/PwBD: 30%
